Demonstration by Belgian police officers -
Belgium / Brussels / Brussels - Around 10 to 12,000 policemen and policewomen from the Belgian police force marched through the streets of the capital today to demonstrate their dissatisfaction with the situation of their profession. After the murder of two of them a few days before, the demands in the procession were both for a revaluation of their profession, but also for a greater severity (zero tolerance) against anyone who attacks a police officer. Among the demands was also the one concerning pensions.
