"Freedom convoys" and clashes on the Champs-Elysées
Thousands of opponents of the vaccine pass, who came in convoys from all over France, entered Paris to demonstrate, despite a ban issued by the Paris Police Prefecture. Nearly 7,200 police and gendarmes were deployed. At around 2pm, a "freedom convoy" managed to form around the Arc de Triomphe and then during the day hundreds of demonstrators gathered on the Champs Elysées where with a few dozen cars, campers and motorbikes disrupted the traffic. The police regularly used tear gas. - 12/02/2022 - France / Paris / Paris - Jan Schmidt-Whitley/Le Pictorium
