Sukkot: a week of fervor among the Loubavitch community of Paris
Chloé Sharrock / Le Pictorium
Caption :
A diner is held every night of the Sukkot celebration, in large Sukkahs (huts) put in place in the Beth Habad of the Petit Street in Paris.
The celebration is one of the three Pilgrimage Festivals prescribed by the Thorah, and is held during a week to commemorate the Exodus of the Hebrew people out of Egypt. The Jewish community therefore has to spend a week at least eating and praying in a hut.
